Providing An Opportunity To Bet On Relative Performance
Introduction
Believing Which of Two Securities
Will Do Better Than the Other, In
a Set Period, and So Betting*
This is not currently possible, but hopefully it will soon be possible — to bet which of the shares of Apple or Amazon will outperform the other in 30, 90 or 180 days.
It will also be possible to bet which of any two other stocks, listed on an exchange, will do better than the other. Let’s say, the standard betting unit would be $200.
It will also be possible to bet on whether the chosen stock will outperform one of the stock market indexes. The bet could also be if the chosen stock would do better than a 150% or 200% of the index in the agreed period.
So, what is necessary for the above-described investment speculation, betting service to become available?
The DoBetter.club is necessary. The DoBetter.club will recruit members. The members of the Dobetter.club will pay the DoBetter.club 10% of their winnings to arrange for the necessary counterparty bettor. The virtual DoBetter.club will be performing a brokerage service, holding in its member accounts the funds necessary to meet the obligations of each betting unit purchased by the member making of the bet.

Those Wishing to Bet Which of 2 Stocks Will Do Better,
Within an Agreed Period, May Chose to Become
Members of the DoBetter.Club
If a member of the virtual DoBetter.club believes that a stock in the SP500 will, including the receipt of dividends, do better than another stock in the SP500 a wager for $200 can be established based on the last sale of each stock, if the DoBetter.club can arrange for a counterparty. The last sale is that of the day the bet is made, and that which is the end of the betting period.
If the last sale of AAPL, on the day of the bet, on its primary market, was $179.45 a share and that of AMZN was $3,444.24 a share, the relative value of AAPL would be 5.21%. Therefore, to win the bet favoring AAPL the percent of the price of Apple would have to be greater than 5.21% of the price of AMZN at the maturity of the agreed period. If the club member favored AMZN, the price of AAPL would have to be less than 5.21% of the price of AMZN, at the end of the period.
The club member having favored AMZN would lose the $200 bet if the price of an AAPL share was greater than 5.21% of the price of an AMZN share. The club member favoring AAPL would be the winner of the bet and would receive $380, for the $200 bet, with a $20 fee being paid to the club for finding the counterparty and managing the payment.
